What it is
Shorter than a normal bath but much deeper, often round or square. You sit rather than lie, with the water much higher up the body.
Good for
Small rooms
A deep soak in a small footprint.
Warmth
Deep water keeps you warm for longer.
What to weigh up
Getting in and out
The high sides can be harder to step over.
Weight and water
A deep tub holds a lot of water and is heavy when full.
Showering
Not suited to a shower over.
