Pumped shower
A mixer with a separate pump.
A mixer shower boosted by a separate pump, usually near the hot-water cylinder. It's used on tank-fed systems and can boost more than one outlet.

What it is
A shower pump is fitted to the hot and cold supplies from the cylinder and tank, raising the pressure to the mixer valve.

Pumps must not be connected directly to the mains supply.
